Research areas

The research teams focus on the chemical synthesis and study of the properties of new non-crystalline, nanocrystalline and bulk materials, especially in the field of chalcogenide materials, their thin films, optically induced solid-phase reactions and promising high-tech nanocrystalline oxides for applications in photonics, optics and memory electronics.

In the field of nanomaterials, the research team deals with the synthesis of low-dimensional nanostructures (such as nanotubes, nanolayers, nanofibers) using various methods. The research also includes the necessary analyses of the structure of these materials with respect to their properties. The most promising materials are then used in solar cells, catalysts, batteries, etc.
